Al igual que su álbum debut, Travelin' Light, el segundo disco en solitario de Gabrielle Goodman, Until We Love, se centra en sus cualidades como cantante de jazz. El jazz era el género musical que, en ese momento, representaba el mayor desafío para la voz y la musicalidad de Gabrielle Goodman. Por ello, Gabrielle Goodman dejó de lado sus planes de grabar un álbum de música clásica o de iniciar una carrera como cantante de pop. «El jazz significa mucho más para mí que las canciones pop comerciales, que hoy están aquí y mañana desaparecen», explica Gabrielle sobre su decisión.
